Researcher climbs aboard RMS team

Hello everyone, my name is Santanu Mohapatra I am a new member of Residential Management Systems R&D team. I joined the team in January 2009 and am enjoying the journey so far.

I was born and brought up in small village in eastern Indian state on Orissa. I attended Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa state for my for bachelors and masters degree. I moved to Bangalore in 1997 where I did my Master diploma in computing from National institute Information Technology.

I started working for a company called UXL Technologies, Bangalore in March 2000 where I started working for RMS from September 2001. It was great working with RMS at that time. I was part of the RMS 5.0 core team when we started development of RMS 5.0. I was leading a team of 5 people for development and leading 4 people for technical support. I left UXL Technologies in October 2005 and moved to New Delhi and joined a company called Vianeta Communications (a healthcare documentation software company ) until August 2006 At that time it merged with Spheris Inc (leading global provider of clinical documentation technology and services). I rejoined RMS in Raleigh in January 2009. I really appreciate Graham Banister who helped me to come to USA and work for RMS Inc. I have worked on various Web technologies Including .NET framework. I am really enjoying what we doing here at RMS.

Currently I am working on various enhancements for the mail merge module which will be released as part of 5.3.007 and I am working on MYRMS for student web module. I look forward to working with the great team here at RMS and to helping to continually improve the way we meet the needs of all our customers.

On a personal note I was married to Snigdha in May 2004 and she is very much part of what I do. We have son Sohaan who is 14 months old. When I am not working I love to travel to different places and play with Sohaan.
