self-selection

Our clients have asked and the market focus has drawn much attention to roommate self-selection. Lifetopia Corporation and Residential Management Systems have recently integrated their software platforms to make college and university housing solutions much more robust and seamless.

The reason for doing this is relatively simple. It provides housing staff members with the capacity to pre-populate their residence halls without any paper involved. A seamless transfer of information is utilized to authenticate the students into the Lifetopia environment. Then basic profile information is integrated to allow the self-selection process to begin. After students choose one another from the secure and hosted website Lifetopia provides, it is fed back to Residential Management Systems. From there, the housing staff has the ability to complete the assignment process. The goal of this partnership is to offer a service that increases confidence in roommate assignments, reduces paperwork, yields higher occupancy percentages and bolsters overall student satisfaction.
